Upon acquiring an old bungalow in Shah Alam, a couple set out to transform it into their dream family home. Driven by a shared desire for the best for each family member, the husband aimed to realize the dreams of his wife, child, and mother. The wife, recognizing her husband’s work-from-home lifestyle, sought a residence that would suit his needs. Their vision included a spacious living room for hosting special events, such as the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday. However, finding a contractor capable of meeting their criteria for bungalow design transformation proved challenging, exacerbated by the complex layout and a previous contractor’s shortcomings, further compounded by the challenges of the pandemic.
After much deliberation and guidance from IDW Design & Build, they made the bold decision to demolish the old bungalow and start afresh. With IDW’s 16 years of experience, the couple was confident in their ability to bring their dream home to life. This renovation process differed significantly from their previous experience, as they actively participated in every “site meeting,” ensuring transparency and a sense of control. This approach instilled confidence and tranquility in the couple. Finally, after 18 months of dedicated effort, their dream home materialized in April 2023.
